OBJECTIVE: SWBAT use the definite article “THE” in an oral and written form.

WARM UP: Students will work on groups of five, they will order some sentence strips using “some and any” when they complete the sentences they will go to paste the on the board. (8 mins)

Activity one: “speaking activity”

Where are they?

What is the man looking at?

What is he doing?

The teacher will read the conversation model from the book and after that students will stand up and will look for a partner in order to practice it. At the end some students will go to the front and role play the conversation. (10 mins)

Activity two: “Grammar: definite article “THE””  NOTE: the indefinite articles are: A and An

Explanation: use the material………………………. (8 mins)

Activity three: “Completion”

Students will have some minutes to work on exercise B page 42 of the book. (8 mins)

 Activity four: “Pronunciation”

The teacher will read the examples on page of the use of the definite article on page 43 and students will repeat after the teacher.(5 mins)

They will work on exercise B and will look for a classmate in order to say each phrase in which they had previously worked about the pronunciation of the definite article “THE”.(6 mins)
